Best Leaf Vacuum Mulcher – WORX TriVac WG500 12 amp All-in-One Electric Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum Review
If you want an all-in-one machine for your yard that can help you clear leaves and even turn them into a nice organic mulch, then you need to check out the WORX TriVac WG500 12 amp All-in-One Electric Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum.
I do not have a big yard, but the few trees that I do have result in quiet a lot of leaves each fall. In the past, I have used a rake and then bagged up all the leaves for disposal. When my friend Jim saw me doing this he let me know about the leaf blower he uses and even gave me a demonstration on how it works.
So, this year I set out to get my own leaf blower after seeing how much time it would save me. I was surprised to learn that I could get a device that could also turn those leaves into mulch. I’m not a gardener but I do have a few flower beds that I mulch each year. Since I pay for that mulch, an all-in-one gadget like the WORX TriVac WG500 would save me both time and money in the long run.
Review of WORX TriVac WG500 Electric Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum review
One of the first things that attracted me to this leaf blower and vacuum is the fact that it is a green product. The unit has a 12 amp motor as opposed to being powered by gasoline. So it is not only an eco-friendly option, but it is also a lot quieter than the gas-powered device my friend Jim uses.
I also really like that is it small and compact, which means it does not take up a lot of space in my tiny one-car garage. It is also fairly lightweight, which is important to me. I do not want to be lugging around heavy piece of equipment in the yard.
For me, a big disadvantage of this machine is that it works only with dry leaves. I do not always have time to get out and take care of the leaves before it rains, which means I end up having to wait until they get dry again.
The blades on this machine are plastic, which means that you cannot vacuum up any limbs or twigs without causing damage to the blades. This means that you have to be really careful when using the vacuum function.
What is really nice about the WORX TriVac WG500 is that I can blow the leaves to a central area of the yard and then just flip one switch to turn on the vacuum suction. And just like that I have moved the leaves and made some organic mulch for my flower beds.
The design of this leaf blower and vacuum is also pretty nice because it has an angled nose. This is perfect for me because I have some benches on my patio where leaves like to hide under. With the WORX TriVac WG500 12 amp All-in-One Electric Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum, I do not even have to bend over or crouch down to blow them away because I can just reach under with the noise of this device.
