Summer is coming, so get the right tools to get ready

Summer is coming, but your garden looks like a mess. Sounds familiar? Then, your garden needs some trimming or a complete make-over. The first thing you need for that is some new gardening tools. Afterwards, you can plant some shrubs, flowers and bulbs from You Garden or any other gardening shop. You can read honest reviews of You Garden here. And we would like to tell you which gardening tools are indispensable to get your garden summer ready and keep it that way.

A Pruner and/or Chainsaw

One of the first things you’ll do when you want to make your garden ready for summer is to prune all of the bushes, shrubs and trees that have grown out of proportions since you left them alone last autumn. All of these branches are only in the way when you want to do other things in your garden, so remove the abundant shrubs, tree branches etc. Only then, you’ll be able to see what you are doing. A prune will help you to trim shrubs and remove long tree branches, even though you might need a chainsaw for the tougher ones.

A Leaf Blower and Rake

At the end of the winter, a lot of leaves will have accumulated all over your garden. Autumn still has nice days in which you can remove those leaves, but winter is often too cold, let alone that snow prevented you from entering your garden. Chances are that leaves are spread out over your entire backyard. A leaf blower offers a quick way to move them all to one spot. There, you can rake them up into a pile together will all of the branches that are left over from your pruning session. So, naturally, you will need a rake as well.

A Lawn Mower

Then, it’s time to tackle the grass, provided your garden includes grass. There are hand lawnmowers, but if you want to make things easy for yourself, you could consider a motorised lawnmower. There are even some robotic lawn mowers that you won’t have to do anything at all. The robotic lawn mower will mower your grass all by itself. In any case, your garden will look neat and tidy as soon as your grass is covered.

Spade and Shovel

There will also be some weed growing in between your plants or even between the tiles of your terrace.. A spade and shovel are the perfect tools for removing these unwanted plants. Therefore, they need to be included in your assortment of gardening tools.

Specialist Tools

Now, your garden will look a whole lot tidier. But every garden needs some specialist tools that are specifically used for a bush, shrub or tree in your garden. Think of some shears for your topiary or a special pair of scissors for your roses. Perhaps you already purchased these tools when you planted the tree or shrub. If that’s not the case, now is the time to get them.

Wheelbarrow

Arguably, you also need a wheelbarrow. They are convenient for collecting leaves, weed and other trash, especially if you have a large garden. You can use it for your garden trash but also for carrying your gardening tools.

Perhaps we haven’t covered every single tool, but at least you have something to start with.
